The blessings which have been showered upon me during the brief time I have been a student of Christian Science are altogether too numerous to permit a detailed account of each in one testimony. Out of a heart full of gratitude to our dear heavenly Father-Mother God I desire to acknowledge the efficacy of His grace through the power of Christian Science teaching.
Several years ago our only child, two years old, passed on, after I had very faithfully complied with all the instructions of physicians for raising healthy children, and after they had informed me that no help could be received. As both my parents passed on at the time of the child's birth, I was grief-stricken, and grave concern was entertained for my welfare when Christian Science was presented to me with a wealth of love. The textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, changed my whole outlook, and lifted me out of the depths immediately, when I learned that God constitutes and maintains all life, and that in Mind there is, can be, no separation. The healing was simply marvelous—beyond all human comprehension.
Other healings followed as I continued to study, one of bilious headaches for which I had frequently required medical care, and which often confined me to my bed for at least a couple of days with much suffering and nausea. In Christian Science this difficulty was met by a practitioner in one half hour, and I have not suffered a repetition of it in a year's time.
