I WANT to thank Christian Science for all the blessings my family and I have received since knowing of it. At the beginning of this study I was healed of a falling of the stomach which had lasted two years. According to medical advice I had to conform to a diet, but since this healing I have eaten everything without ever feeling the slightest discomfort. Recently I have had a wonderful proof of the healing power of divine Love. One Wednesday evening, a short time before going to the testimony meeting, I was seized with violent intestinal pains. I worked mentally to destroy this error, and decided, in spite of it, to go to the service. I was convinced that this effort would be crowned with success, but it was not. The error persisted, and all night I was feverish and could not sleep. The next day I arose, not wishing to listen to the material senses, but soon the pain became so intense that I had to go back to bed. Fear got the better of me, and I was unwise enough to wish to name this so-called difficulty. Mortal mind kept suggesting it was an attack of appendicitis.
I regretfully confess that it was impossible for me to hold steadfastly to thoughts of Truth. Consequently, the pain increased to such a point that the slightest movement made me scream with pain. It was then my wife telephoned to a Christian Science practitioner to ask for help. After the first treatment peace returned and the pain diminished. With the third treatment I left my bed completely healed, and could resume my work, happy and grateful for this experience. My desire is ever to go forward in this beautiful way in order to help my neighbor as I myself have been helped.— Geneva, Switzerland.
