Christian Science came into our home in an hour of great need; and since then we have experienced many healings of serious conditions, both mental and physical, and also of injuries. A healing I wish to mention specifically is that of burns. An oil stove which I was using to cook on exploded, burning my face; also my neck, arms, and hands. The combustion was so intense that I was stunned for a. moment. My first thought was that I would be scarred. Then I knew there was a law of God applicable to the situation, which could reverse the human beliefs about burns. I called for help, but did not get any relief until I asked my husband to read to me from ''Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, and at the same time made an effort to be still and try to realize the truth about the situation. Then, in a few moments, the pain ceased. In less than three weeks I was down town, and those who had heard about my trouble doubted that I had been so severely burned. When my face looked its worst, I had occasion to see some of the men working for the company from whom I purchased the stove, and they verified my claim; otherwise, few would have believed that I had been through such an experience.
As I write, my heart wells with gratitude for this healing and for the privilege of being a student of Christian Science; also for the good that is coming to the world through Christian Science.— Seattle, Washington.
