After meeting with a severe accident, I was told by a physician that I had fractured two ribs just between the shoulders. In about two weeks the bandages were removed, but I still suffered great pain, which seemed to be in my spine. The doctors did everything they could, but nothing relieved me.
Several years previously I had read "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, but never having had real understanding, I drifted away. In the apartment house where we lived there was a Christian Science practitioner, and in desperation I turned to her for treatment. The pain was greatly relieved, but the healing was slow, and the discoloration did not disappear for over a year. In the meantime I was healed of bowel trouble and hemorrhoids. I had worn a bandage on my knee for three years. One doctor pronounced the trouble a tubercular joint, and another a loose cartilage; this was entirely healed. I was also healed of violent pains in my head which would sometimes attack me in the middle of the night, waking me from a sound sleep and lasting for several hours. I then slept with a pillow under my knee and a towel on my head. I was a pitiful object, but thank God I am now natural and free.
