Words cannot express the gratitude I feel towards Christian Science. It came to me in time of great need nineteen years ago. I was suffering with asthma, which was causing me sleepless nights and indescribable days. I was growing thinner each day, and the best specialists said that there was nothing they could do to relieve me; that the only thing to do was to live in the mountains, which was impossible for me. I knew nothing of Christian Science, but was advised by a friend to take treatment from a practitioner. This I did, and was permanently healed in seven visits. To say I am grateful for this healing is putting it mildly.
One day the heel of my shoe came off just as I was descending the cellar stairs, causing me to fall the entire length to the floor. I declared the truth about God and man while I was falling, and after a few minutes was able to go up two flights of stairs. I did my mental work, as we are taught in Christian Science, and in an hour was on my way to keep an engagement. There were no after effects.
