I took up the study of Christian Science after a doctor had said that I had a nervous heart and that there was no permanent cure for it. At my request a sister mailed to me Mrs. Eddy's textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures." I read a great deal each day, and for the first time really understood Mrs. Eddy's writings. The pain and discomfort left at once, but error whispered that the heart trouble would return at intervals. I therefore set about to prove Christian Science to myself by overcoming constipation. The proof came immediately, and by simply reading the textbook.
Later, however, I asked for help from a practitioner, and from her learned that resentment has no place in Christian Science. Since that time I have been mentally house cleaning. This same practitioner helped us when our daughter was born. At this time I was healed of heart trouble and kidney trouble, and had no difficulty at the birth of the child. The kidney trouble was of long standing. From childhood I had doctored for it, but every test showed disorder. After the healing the test showed a perfect condition.
For all of these healings I am indeed grateful to God. I am grateful to our Leader for the understanding of Life which Christian Science has given me. I am also grateful for my home and family, where love and peace abide.
