Testimonies of Healing

I wish gratefully to acknowledge...

From the October 1931 issue of The Christian Science Journal

I wish gratefully to acknowledge one of the many blessings I have received through Christian Science. Some time ago a felon came on one of my fingers as a result of a severe bruise. It did not pain or throb from the time it started to swell until it was ready to open, unless I struck it against something or pressed it. It healed up so perfectly, without leaving the slightest mark or scar, that I have had a number of those who were watching the case, besides those who knew nothing of it, examine my finger, and not one of them could find one trace of a mark or scar, or anything that would indicate there ever was a felon on that finger. I accomplished as much work every day as I did before I had the difficulty, although it took me longer to do it on account of having but three fingers on that hand to work with. I did not lose one moment of sleep during the time, and did not lose my finger nail, as some said I would.

For this healing and many others, as well as for all the blessings I have received through Christian Science, I am thankful. I find it something to depend on, when understood and applied. We are reaping the benefit of the life-work of our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy.—(Mrs.)
