For about two years I had been under the care of physicians and oculists who were honestly trying to discover the cause of my suffering. Especially were we all anxious about the headaches which remained with me most of my waking hours and had been a pronounced factor in my life since I was a small girl. I had been told by a dear neighbor that Christian Science could heal me; consequently, when the oculist told me he simply could do no more, that there was no known remedy for my ailment, and that I would just have to endure the suffering, my husband went with me to a Christian Science practitioner. In one treatment the headaches were completely wiped out, and in over sixteen years have not returned.
While I felt profoundly grateful for this healing, and felt confident it was due to the truth operating to-day as it did in Jesus' time, yet I am sorry to say I was seemingly satisfied with my healing without a desire to make an effort to learn more of this wonderful regenerating and healing truth. However, I had given up the use of medicines entirely, and when it seemed that a great sorrow was coming into my life I really began in earnest to make use of the truth, and to do so I found it necessary to study diligently and apply my understanding thus gained to every problem.
Let me say that Truth has never failed me. It has healed my heart, met every social and home problem, business problems without number, provided the daily supply for myself and for my children through high school and college. It has healed us of innumerable physical ailments and wiped out of my life such a great amount of fear of all kinds that to-day I really feel I have been born anew.
