I am very desirous of expressing my thankfulness, at least in a measure, for what Christian Science has done for me. When I have applied it with love and sincerity, I have had wonderful healings, some with the help of practitioners, and some by my own understanding of the truth. As we read in Hebrews, "The word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, . . . and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart."
I am glad to tell of my first heading, which was of asthma. I had used every material remedy that was suggested, with no lasting results. A friend who had been benefited, told me of Christian Science and advised me to see a practitioner; and I did so. I discarded all material remedies, and through sincere study of the Bible and the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, I was completely healed. That was over fifteen years ago, and the trouble has never returned.
I became discouraged, and thought I was not progressing. Error tried to tell me that I never would understand Christian Science, but a practitioner told me that it would gradually unfold to me as a beautiful rose unfolds; and I am grateful that it has done so. I am more grateful than I can express for the Christian Science periodicals, church services, and lectures, which help us on and up to God, good.—Hamilton, Ohio.
