Sincerely, and in deep gratitude...

From the August 1931 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Sincerely, and in deep gratitude to God and to our Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, I am sending this testimony, hoping it may benefit others. I came into Christian Science seeking a God that would not destroy, and a heaven near at hand, filled with joy to-day. I can say that I found that God and that heaven in Christian Science.

I am happy to be a worker in the Christian Science Sunday School, and also a member of The Mother Church and of a branch church. I cannot overestimate the great change which has been effected in my consciousness regarding God. I have learned to rely entirely on Spirit and spiritual power for the solution of every human problem, and know that one can always find something to rejoice about if holding on to the thought of gratitude, which makes the darkest hours grow brighter.

All my life from childhood I was in bondage to the flesh, but since coming into Science I have been completely healed of the following: total blindness after a nervous breakdown, misplaced organs, paralysis, and many other difficulties. My son has had numerous healings, such as the healing of mumps, scarlet fever, boils, colds, and sore throat.
