Christian Science found me when I was discouraged and ready to give up. One day when I was very ill a lady asked me to try Christian Science. I had never heard of this Science before. A practitioner came and sat by my bed for about fifteen minutes. Immediately after she left I got up and dressed, a well woman, and happier than I had ever been.
Christian Science healed me of chronic tonsillitis, constipation, dyspepsia in its worst form, and constant headaches with occasional fevers. These healings took place over thirty years ago and have been permanent. Neither change of climate nor doctors had helped me.
Through these years Truth has been my only physician. With a great desire to understand this truth, I purchased a copy of Science and Health and began to read. From the first line (Pref., p. vii), "To those leaning on the sustaining infinite, today is big with blessings," it held my attention, and I read all day and into the night; and when I caught the revelation of Truth through those inspired pages, my joy was unbounded. It is a mystery to me how I ever got along without the understanding of Christian Science. During these years it has led me through many a battle with error, and my health is better than it had ever been.
