For the past fifteen years I have been a student of all the writings of our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, and this study and application has brought me countless blessings. Previous to the time that I turned to Christian Science for healing from a nervous breakdown, I had not attended any church nor looked into a Bible for about fifteen years. I was employed in the passenger service department of a western railway. My work necessitated a considerable amount of traveling, which seemed to be the cause of the nervous breakdown. After receiving medical treatment for some time and getting no aid, I was led to try Christian Science and was healed in a few treatments. Recently I had a severe stroke and was healed in a very short time by the help of a Christian Science practitioner.
I am indeed grateful for this Science, for all that it has done for me and for all that it is doing for those who turn to it for help and healing, and for a better understanding of God, man, and the universe. I am grateful for all the wonderful, unselfish loving work of our Leader, for The Mother Church, the branch churches, and every activity which she established for us; also for the opportunity of being a member of a branch church and of The Mother Church, and for the good work of practitioners and friends who have helped me along my way. The privilege of serving in the activities of the branch church of which I am a member gives me much joy, and is, I am sure, a means of grace for unfoldment, uplifting, and blessings.—Detroit, Michigan.
