From childhood I had enjoyed the study of the Bible and many times pondered over the words, "Lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world," and, "Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever." Yet when any reference to the Bible as a present help was made, I received the reply, "Some day God will make it plain to you." But I am now grateful that the truths that I am learning in my study of Christian Science are today making it plain to me and mine. For more than eight years, in a home with three little children, the Christ, Truth, has been proved applicable in all ways.
We have had many healings and many proofs of God's protective power. We have had quick healings of constipation, deafness, whooping cough, mumps, influenza, fistula, which had reached the stage where a surgeon said an operation must soon take place, sprained ankle, sore throat, diseased tonsils, nervous breakdown, broken bones, indigestion, and many other discordant conditions. Each one of these experiences has taught us valuable lessons, and has strengthened our faith and understanding.
I am very grateful for this truth that is ever available, and to our Leader for every channel that she has provided for us; for class instruction, membership in The Mother Church and a branch church, and for the privilege of serving in this great movement which is blessing all mankind.— Indianapolis, Indiana
