Many have been the blessings which I have received through the understanding of God gained from the teachings of Christian Science. It was first presented to me about twenty years ago by a friend who had had healings, and who gave me a Christian Science Sentinel to read.
One of the healings for which I am most grateful is that of gallstones. In order to please a member of the family, a doctor was called, who said there was nothing he could do but operate. Having lost faith in all material means of healing, I knew that God was able to heal me of this. A Christian Science practitioner was called, and the severe attacks of suffering were overcome, fear was cast out, and there has never been a return of the trouble. God's law put into operation was all that was needed.
One evening while I was at dinner a piece of meat went down my windpipe, choking me. Earlier in the day I had spent considerable time studying, and when this occurred, I was absolutely without fear. The thought came, God is here, and God is All-in-all, and all is well. Almost instantly the meat was dislodged, and harmonious action was restored.
