HEALING in Christian Science results uniformly from the realization of divine facts, a realization that dispels mortal illusions and replaces their seeming effects on human lives with humility, health, abundance, usefulness, unselfishness, and other elements of gloriously harmonious being.
There is no law imposing a time lag upon such realization, as Christ Jesus amply demonstrated by his instantaneous cures. The spiritual manifestation of divine law, with resultant healing of human discords, occurs without reference to what is known as time. Spiritual consciousness abides in the eternal now.
Because disease and all discord, including sin, are associated with time, and in belief develop over a period of days or years, the healing of these conditions has been wrongly classified as a process requiring time. The fact that no sinful, discordant element or experience can be found in the divine truth of being, that discords never really originated, are not self-existent and have no real cause or history, at once reveals healing in its true light as understood in Christian Science. When the supremacy of good is realized with sufficient clarity to take possession of thought to the exclusion of mortal concepts, this spiritual illumination brings to any inharmonious human experience instantaneous cure.
