Testimonies of Healing

It is a duty and a privilege to...

From the November 1936 issue of The Christian Science Journal

It is a duty and a privilege to acknowledge all the good that has come to me for many years through Christian Science. It has brought relief from physical suffering, danger, limitations, and unhappiness.

I had a wonderful healing of pneumonia. The disease got no further than its first stage, and I was at my desk the next morning. Also I had had two weeks' treatment from a Christian Science practitioner for a seed wart on the index finger of my right hand with no apparent result, but when I was on a trip had from the office, the truth that had been declared proved effective and the wart disappeared. My employer had advised cauterizing, but later acknowledged the healing as wonderful.

I am especially grateful that I am being forced to establish home, activity, supply, and companionship in Spirit, not matter. I find I have more trust in the unseen Principle and there is less desire to outline just how and when things should be done. The result is more contentment and happiness. And while I have been learning these lessons the past few years, I have been beautifully cared for and have really not lacked any essential thing. I am learning that our need is always supplied.
