Over half a century ago, while we were living in Georgia, my father returned from a business trip to our former Michigan home, and brought to us the message of Christian Science. Many times I have heard my father say, "I am convinced that Christian Science is the truth."
Less than a year later my mother became a Christian Scientist, and was active in the local Christian Science church in the Michigan town where we then resided. Through absent treatments she was healed of alarming attacks of neuralgia and of heart trouble.
Through the study of Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, and the application of its teachings, I have been healed of a hernia of long standing, cancer of the stomach, and chronic headaches. The healing of headaches came when, through the realization of God's presence, I ceased to fear another's presence and criticism of Christian Science. This person's interest in Christian Science dated from that hour, and has continued through the years.
