Beginning May 1, 1943, per capita tax statements will be mailed each year to all members of The Mother Church, as a reminder of the provisions of Article VIII, Section 13, of the Church Manual covering the payment of a per capita tax "of not less than one dollar" annually.
The present custom of issuing receipts will be discontinued after January 1, 1943. Receipts will continue to be available, however, to members specifically requesting them.
The sending of this yearly notice will keep members regularly informed of the status of their per capita tax, and greatly improve the efficiency of the Treasurer's Office.
