ALL ARE THE SONS OF GOD

From the January 1943 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Why chide thy brother if he stray
And tread in steps not of thy way?
This be thy steadfast claim alway:
He is a son of God.

What mote ye see as his alone
Deny that any eye can own,
Lest beams in thine eye may be known.
Name him a son of God.

For what of one ye would see true,
Alike of all ye may see too,
Thyself as well. Hold fast this view:
All are the sons of God.

Alike on all the sun doth shine;
Rain is thy neighbor's just as thine.
Nor bond, nor free, Jew, Gentile find.
Know all as sons of God.

Judge not, taught he of Galilee,
If ye from judgment would be free.
By changeless and divine decree
Each is a son of God.

Perfection is the law of heaven.
By it from evil all are riven,
And majesty to each is given.
All are the sons of God.
