Poets, philosophers, and idealists have at times glimpsed a brave new world wherein all men would be free, but they have been powerless to put their philosophy or idealism into concrete action because of their lack of Science.
The light of deliverance which the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, Mary Baker Eddy, brought to this age has not yet been measured or given its full value, but because it is the true light it will find its way into every prison house of fear, through the walls of prejudice, materiality, and misery, until their boasted power is found to be only a misconception which the brightness of Truth first uncovers and then destroys.
Christian Science has come to set mankind free, to release the whole world from its bondage to the beliefs of sin, disease, and death. Since it is Science, it is demonstrable Truth. Blind belief in Christian Science avails little to break human shackles. Until belief is replaced by enlightened faith and faith rises to understanding, the actual basis for full liberation has not been reached. This basis is found in the understanding of the ever-present activity of good, without a material element to mar its beneficent power.
