The Associated Press conjectures that a mortal exploding atomically could lay waste the city of New York. Doubtless no mortal will be eager to accept the role of a devastating missile to this metropolis. I call attention to the statement only because it brings into sharp relief the wholly opposite nature of atomic force, and the forces of Mind, Spirit, God.
Through exploding atomic force, it is claimed that one mortal's physique might conceivably bring devastation to a whole city, and be annihilated in the process. One individual, understanding and reflecting the source of true power, God, deific Mind, and aligning his life and thoughts therewith, can bring untold blessings of vital good to himself, to multitudes of his fellow men, and to the whole world. What a contrast! Material atomic force is ignorant, mindless, and destructive. Spiritual force is intelligent and blessing-bringing.
Think of the comfort, inspiration, and healing brought to millions of men, women, and children in many generations through the spiritual forces of God, found in the forceful ideas of Mind, so beautifully declared by David and other writers of the Psalms. Ponder the divinely potent forces of good made active in the consciousness of men by the words and lives of Christ Jesus, John, and Paul.
