It is with a deep sense of gratitude for Christian Science that I give this testimony. I became interested in this Science for the express purpose of being healed physically. Early in my study I was healed of stomach trouble, indigestion, heart trouble, pneumonia, and chronic tonsillitis. Later I was healed of a sprained ankle within twenty-four hours, chronic colds, and many other ills "that flesh is heir to" through the loving help of practitioners. Many problems of a business, financial, and personal nature have been solved, and I have experienced instantaneous healings of scalds and burns.
Through diligent study of the Bible and of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, as well as her other writings, I have been able to prove for myself the healing efficacy of the truth, and I am humbly grateful for the continued spiritual enrichment which is coming to me through daily study.
With further development in the study of Christian Science it has been gratifying to me to note the difference in the nature of my healings. In my early stages I was interested only in receiving physical healings, but without my knowledge I was being regenerated. Thoughts of worry and unhappiness and many unlovely traits of character were being replaced with the real qualities of divine Mind. The physical ailments have become noticeably less, and as other problems present themselves I am grateful to say that I am able to overcome them through increased spiritual understanding. With each overcoming I have the feeling of being imbued, to some degree, with the spiritual power with which both Jesus and our Leader, Mrs. Eddy, healed. This is truly the "joy no man taketh from you" (John 16:22).
