"That ye love one another."
This is a lesson then
That sometime must be learned.
And each exalted upward step
Attended is by angel songs.
What though temptation comes
To say that tender love
Is sent forth but in vain?
We have the blest assurance still
That purest love—free in the joy of loving—
Swept clean at last
Of any thought of self,
Is truly blest of God.
