Christian Science practice embraces all the many practicable truths of the Bible. Through spiritual understanding comes the conviction that God is the only power; that He is always available as the one beneficent and infinite presence; that man is God's image and likeness, spiritual and perfect; that the kingdom of God is not far off but "within you," as Jesus said; and that eternal Life and immortality are here and now.
The student of Christian Science should be steadfast in his realization of these and other fundamental truths revealed in Christian Science. His consciousness of the supremacy of God, good, the infinite divine presence, can be established so that it cannot be moved, by understanding that nothing can endure which opposes this basic truth. This understanding is gained through unselfish meditation, spiritual conviction, and unfaltering prayer.
The healing and uplifting presence of Mind has not, could not have, a single element of discord within its all-inclusive beneficence, even for the fractional part of a moment. There is no error in infinity. The ever-present power of God, good, never surrenders to the false mortal claim of another supposed presence or power, called disease or error of any name. The carnal mind is belief only, never power. There is no competition in the infinity of good. Divine intelligence is all-inclusive, the only cause, and in Truth no opposite could ever be created or have entity. Mortal mind's suggestions lead to a state of self -mesmerism; but he who discerns man's status as the image and likeness of God knows that the unchangeable completeness and uprightness of his true selfhood can never be forgotten, or obscured by human sense testimony.
