Fifteen years have passed since I began the study of Christian Science, and I am more grateful every day. I did not come into Science for a healing, but after I began to study the textbook I was healed of many ills.
With the help of a practitioner, and sometimes by my own understanding, I was healed of burns, colds, sinus trouble, and an internal disorder. Lumbago was healed in three hours after I began to apply the truth. I had had pain in my back all week, but had only denied the error. On Friday morning, my back was so stiff I could hardly get out of bed. At nine o'clock I was no better. I had been invited to a party that afternoon, and the thought came that I should have to get help quickly if I did not want to disappoint my friends. I started for the telephone to call a practitioner, but was stopped suddenly by what seemed like a distinct voice saying: "Do this yourself. You can." I knew this to be a command and began to reach out for Truth.
