With a grateful heart I should like to testify to some of the many blessings which have come to me through Christian Science.
My first healing was of an insect bite on my lip, received while on a fishing trip. The lip swelled so that I disliked having anyone see me. I asked my companion, a Christian Scientist, if she would help me, and in a few moments my lip was normal. This was quite remarkable to me. I had been reading the Christian Science textbook, Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy. I now began to apply myself to a more earnest study of it.
Some time later my husband and I moved to a town where we were unknown. I had never been very well and at this time was quite ill. One day I called on a practitioner and began telling her of my difficulties, which seemed many. "Do you know why you have come here?" she asked, and then went on, "You have come here to learn more about God." The truth of this statement has been proved many times in the past twenty-five years. For about an hour we talked about God, and when I left I knew that much of my burden was gone and that the rest would go too. As I walked to my home I was filled with a sense of peace, joy, and love.
