I am glad that I do not have to imagine...

From the September 1948 issue of The Christian Science Journal

I am glad that I do not have to imagine my existence without Christian Science. My grandmother was one of the early practitioners in this state, and my mother became a student of this Science when I was a baby.

Class instruction truly meant a rebirth for me. Even before I went through class, however, I had gained release from the necessity of wearing glasses. I never at any moment worked with glasses in thought; but nightly I realized that in reality, God's creation being spiritual, sight must be keen, tireless, perfect. The belief in astigmatism just slipped away. I have never worn glasses since, and my vision is normal.

Surplus flesh also vanished with the recognition of what food and exercise truly mean. An income only half sufficient was trebled when the idea of genuine substance became established in my consciousness.
