It is with abundant joy and gratitude that I testify to the healing efficacy of Christian Science.
The healing of a young son eventually brought me into the study of this Science. The child had spent the week end in the country, and when he returned home his body was covered with ivy poisoning. His father had just become slightly interested in Christian Science, and seeing my fear, asked that the child have Christian Science treatment. A practitioner was called, and the following day all visible evidence had disappeared. I was happy to see the quick result of a Christian Science treatment in the healing of the boy, but at that time I was too interested in worldly affairs to take up the study of this Science.
Shortly after this healing sores broke out all over my neck. A physician gave the condition a medical name unfamiliar to me, stating that it was difficult to cure and that my neck would be badly scarred. After I applied the salves and ointments prescribed, the condition grew worse, so in desperation I turned to Christian Science for help. This healing was slower than the first one, although the irritation lessened immediately. In ten days, however, the condition was so much improved that new skin appeared, without leaving a scar or blemish, contrary to the physician's verdict.
