In gratitude to God for the many blessings that I have received through the study and application of the teachings of Christian Science and with the hope that it may be of some benefit to others, I wish to give the following testimony.
A member of the family became interested in Christian Science in 1886. As a child I had some knowledge of this teaching, but only a casual interest in it. I had suffered severely from asthma, and in 1902 I went to a Christian Science practitioner. In two treatments the disease disappeared. Then for a number of years I turned completely away from Science. The asthma returned, and many material remedies, change of climate, and other treatments were tried with at best only temporary relief.
In 1912 I turned again to Christian Science as a last resort. The great fear was met in the first treatment, but the complete healing took a long time. A great deal of wrong thinking had to be corrected. But as I became more interested in the teachings of Christian Science and really studied and applied the truths as they unfolded, I was entirely freed from this error and have enjoyed better health and a better concept of what true health and well-being are. I am grateful to the practitioners and others who so patiently and lovingly stood with me during those testing times.
