Testimonies of Healing

The importance of Mary Baker Eddy's...

From the November 1952 issue of The Christian Science Journal

The importance of Mary Baker Eddy's poem beginning with the words "Shepherd, show me how to go" (Poems, p. 14) was not made clear to me until I realized that man must manifest life not death. Heart trouble was overcome through the realization that God is my Life, I held to this truth until I understood that my Shepherd is God, ever-present Life, Truth, and Love, the divine Principle that holds man and the universe in perfect at-one-ment with all good, as Mrs. Eddy teaches. Therefore, as her poem continues.

"I will follow and rejoice
All the rugged way."

The efficacy of Christian Science, when honestly applied, has been proved in our home many times. A dislocated vertebra was entirely healed several years ago with the help of a loving practitioner, who uncovered to me the lurking, resentful thought I was holding against the person I considered to be responsible for my physical condition. When this light dawned upon my consciousness it dispelled ignorance, and all suffering faded into nothingness.
