In Proverbs we read (16:1), "The preparations of the heart in man, and the answer of the tongue, is from the Lord." I can truthfully state that my heart was prepared to receive Christ, Truth, when Christian Science came to me, for I had reached a state in human existence where nothing that the material senses offered could satisfy my longing to know God and His purpose for man.
This preparation of the heart eventually brought me the privilege of class instruction, which I count as one of my greatest blessings. The inspiration of each annual association meeting is truly spiritual refreshment.
I have learned that strict obedience to both the spirit and the letter of Christian Science is necessary for growth in grace and spiritual progress. In rearing a family of three children, I have had many opportunities to apply my knowledge of Truth and have gained many victories over false, material sense.
