My gratitude for Christian Science grows...

From the May 1959 issue of The Christian Science Journal

My gratitude for Christian Science grows daily as I experience the rich, spiritual rewards of studying and living its teachings to the best of my understanding. Christian Science was recommended to me in 1945 by my parents, who had just become interested in this religion. The healing of asthma, which had greatly interfered with my profession, and other healings have certainly been cause for rejoicing. I have also been guided in finding right employment and in correcting undesirable character traits. My wife and I experienced clear spiritual direction in finding and purchasing our present home.

I am a professional musician, playing a wind instrument, and I should like to relate an experience which took place in 1956 in connection with this work. I was asked to undertake a rather difficult solo assignment to be presented four times each day, seven days a week, for five weeks. This was in addition to my regular duties in the ensemble.

One day, shortly after I had accepted the assignment and just prior to the opening performance, I was manifesting extreme weakness and dizziness. I called my wife and asked her for metaphysical support in Christian Science. The several thousand people in the audience were unknowing witnesses to a practical demonstration of Christian Science, for the presentation was completed perfectly.
