"HOW SHALL IT BE KNOWN WHAT IS SPOKEN?"

From the September 1959 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Paul wrote to the Corinthians (I Cor. 14:8, 9): "If the trumpet give an uncertain sound, who shall prepare himself to the battle? So likewise ye, except ye utter by the tongue words easy to be understood, how shall it be known what is spoken?"

In this age when evil is clamoring aloud to control men's thinking, the mighty voice of God, Truth, should be reverberating more forcefully than ever through the many media of human communication. From the Readers' platform in Churches of Christ, Scientist, and Christian Science Societies, the unadulterated Word of God is read, untouched by human opinion or personal interpretation.

Our Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, wrote to the members of The Mother Church (Miscellaneous Writings, p. 322), "Your dual and impersonal pastor, the Bible, and 'Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures,' is with you; and the Life these give, the Truth they illustrate, the Love they demonstrate, is the great Shepherd that feedeth my flock, and leadeth them 'beside the still waters.'"
