I am grateful for the friend who introduced our family to the teachings of Christian Science and for the resulting healing of my mother, who, suffering from a complication of diseases, had reached a stage when medication could bring no relief, and an operation was impossible owing to a heart condition. With the prayers of a practitioner, she was restored to normal health within two weeks.
I am deeply grateful for the full assurance that has come to me in recent years that Christian Science is the Comforter promised by the Master. For over thirty-five years I have been a student of Science, but for most of that time I believed in, rather than understood, its Principle, God.
Mrs. Eddy says on page 449 of Science and Health, "A grain of Christian Science does wonders for mortals, so omnipotent is Truth, but more of Christian Science must be gained in order to continue in well doing."
