I wish to express my gratitude for Christian Science and all the benefits I have received in the past forty years. Before we learned of this blessed Science, the doctor informed my husband he could do no more for me. A neighbor loaned me a copy of Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy. At that time I was a semi-invalid. The maid placed me in a chair out on the lawn while she went to the store. She was away most of the morning. This gave me time to meditate on what I was reading. The significance of what it means to be God's perfect child came to me very clearly. I left my place on the lawn and ran upstairs, filled with gratitude. The first thing I did was to destroy all medicine and material aid. This was the end of numerous physical problems. I was healed of partial paralysis, heart trouble, diabetes, ulcers, poor vision, and many other false claims. I have been in good health since that day.
I started attending church services regularly. The children were placed in the Christian Science Sunday School. They never missed attending in nine years. I am sure this teaching helped them safely through the Second World War. They all came back from service in perfect condition. When we learn to trust our loved ones to our Father-Mother God, we can rest securely, knowing that all is well.
I am grateful for membership in The Mother Church and for all its activities. In my branch church I have enjoyed the privilege of teaching Sunday School and working with the literature distribution committee for many years. At one time I served as First Reader in an informal group of Christian Science students.
