A healing which took place approximately nine years ago was an experience that taught me more about God and man than I had ever known before, and I consider the lessons learned from it to be of inestimable value.
Approximately three years prior to this time I noticed a lump appearing at the base of my throat and on one side. I was greatly concerned about this. I remembered that my grandmother had carried a goiter throughout her life, and I was fearful of this happening to me.
No diagnosis was made of this condition, but earnest study was begun in Christian Science with the faithful help of a practitioner. This healing did not take place quickly. There were many lessons to be learned, and the Christian Science periodicals were of great help. I learned that I had to place radical reliance on Truth and to be persistent in my efforts.
