"My will adoreth Thine"

From the August 1970 issue of The Christian Science Journal

No life is so vital as one placed under control of the divine will. The Bible and the lives of countless numbers of people record the works accomplished, the healings gained, the nations saved, when people turned to God. Today, as always, anyone's affairs come naturally under the beneficent control of the divine will as one gains a scientific or actual understanding of God.

The definition of "will" given by Mrs. Eddy in the Glossary of Science and Health contains this sentence: "Will, as a quality of so-called mortal mind, is a wrong-doer; hence it should not be confounded with the term as applied to Mind or to one of God's qualities."Science and Health, p. 597;

In order not to confound will as a quality of mortal mind, or material consciousness, with divine will, it is necessary to clarify one's understanding of God. This is not difficult when one, without mental reservations, is willing to be educated spiritually. Spiritual education is preparation for eternity. It is worth whatever sacrifice of personal opinion may be needed to achieve it. The true Teacher is Christ Jesus, whose teaching, while divine and based on Principle, which is higher than human happenings, is immensely practical.
