"Thou crownest the year with thy goodness"...

From the August 1970 issue of The Christian Science Journal

"Thou crownest the year with thy goodness" (Ps. 65:11). This promise has certainly been fulfilled in my experience since I became a student of Christian Science.

One day I picked up a Christian Science Sentinel from a free literature rack. I do not recall the article, but one statement quoted from Mrs. Eddy's writings appealed to me to the extent that I memorized it: "To live so as to keep human consciousness in constant relation with the divine, the spiritual, and the eternal, is to individualize infinite power; and this is Christian Science" (The First Church of Christ, Scientist, and Miscellany, p. 160).

This seemed to fit in nicely with the teachings of the Protestant church of which I was a member, and I did not feel the need, at that time, of investigating Christian Science.
