"Experience is victor"

From the April 1971 issue of The Christian Science Journal

"Experience is victor, never the vanquished," writes Mary Baker Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, "and out of defeat comes the secret of victory."Miscellaneous Writings, p. 339;

Our Leader well knew the value of experience in proving the power of God in individual lives. In her own experience she proved time and time again that trials met and mastered bring power and spiritual joy. Her establishment of the Wednesday testimony meetings, which include testimonies by those who have turned untoward circumstances or conditions into healing and growth, indicates the value she put on the proper use of experience in finding the upward way.

Thus experience is something we may welcome and be grateful for, since it can be utilized for spiritual gain. Each one may find the results of Christian power in action through establishing in consciousness the truth of man's inseparability from his creator.
