The Isness of Love

From the June 1971 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Beah Richards, an outstanding actress, has said, "People use the word 'love' all the time with hardly any sense of what it means. It's not a condition, not a circumstance. It's a state of isness."The Christian Science Monitor, October 18, 1968;

Love is. It does not come and go. There is no place where love is not, for, as Christian Science teaches, it is an attribute of infinite, divine Love, God. In every place where hate or unloveliness seems to be, Love is really all that is present.

Mrs. Eddy writes of Love: "What a word! I am in awe before it. Over what worlds on worlds it hath range and is sovereign! the underived, the incomparable, the infinite All of good, the alone God, is Love."Miscellaneous Writings, pp. 249, 250;
