What a great privilege and joy it is to be a Christian Scientist and to know the peace this healing religion brings when its teachings are lived and properly applied! As an Air Force family for twenty-two years, we had the wonderful experience of bringing up five children with the help of the truth and of proving times without number that this Science does heal and sustain us at all times.
In the Preface of Science and Health, Mrs. Eddy writes (p. vii,) "To those leaning on the sustaining infinite, to-day is big with blessings." I had been raised in a Science home where problems were solved through prayerful turning to God. This prepared me for the challenging life in the service. No alcoholic beverages were ever served in our home, and because of our loving but firm stand for Principle our social life became enjoyable and satisfying.
It was not long before my husband turned to Christian Science for help and while stationed in the tropics was quickly and permanently healed of a diseased condition.
