I would like to bear testimony to the healing power of Christian Science. Some time ago I became ill and suffered from difficulty in breathing. Although I had no diagnosis, the condition appeared to be pneumonia. I also had a high fever.
I asked a Christian Science practitioner for treatment. Progress was not apparent right away, but after two weeks I was completely recovered. During this time I had frequent visits from the practitioner, who called my attention to many declarations of truth in the Bible and in the textbook, Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy. The book of Job says (33:4), "The Spirit of God hath made me, and the breath of the Almighty hath given me life."
Also, my wife was healed of a painful abdominal disorder through the work of a Christian Science practitioner. She appeared so weakened by this illness that all hope for her recovery seemed vain. In this case also, a quick healing resulted through the application of the teachings of Christian Science. Within a few days my wife had regained her health. Mrs. Eddy writes in the textbook (p. 162), "Christian Science heals organic disease as surely as it heals what is called functional, for it requires only a fuller understanding of the divine Principle of Christian Science to demonstrate the higher rule."
