From the December 1989 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Miscellaneous Writings. When Miscellaneous Writings was first published, Mary Baker Eddy suspended all class teaching for one year so that students of Christian Science would study this book. A new paperback edition of Miscellaneous Writings has larger, more readable type. The cover design blends beauty and information in a way that will be attractive to both the newcomer and not-so-newcomer.

"Peace be unto you." A selection of inspirational articles taken from The Christian Science Journal and the Christian Science Sentinel with music from the Christian Science Hymnal can be heard on a cassette entitled "Peace be unto you." The articles are "Peace in the schoolroom," "What if peace were powerful?" "Healing the nations: work for each of us," "A stressful life? Put the accent on peace," and "Peace when we feel there is no peace." A poem on the cassette, "Psalm of peace," shows how even the threat of nuclear war is disarmed by divine Love. Music from the Hymnal played on the harp beautifully complements the theme of this cassette.

Nebemiah Builds the Wall rejoins the collection of the "Bible in Story and Song" series for children. The book's illustrations, newly colorized in earth tones, give a more vibrant sense of what it was like to work on the wall. (Previously this book came with a record; now it can be purchased with a cassette instead.)
