I have received a great deal of inspiration from reading the healings in the Christian Science magazines, and it is with great joy that I share several of my own.
When our eldest son was four, he became quite ill, along with many of the other children in his day-care center. The director of the day care also became ill and was hospitalized. The cause of the disease was unknown at the time.
I called a Christian Science practitioner to pray for the boy, and also began to pray for him myself. I acknowledged that he expressed God, in whom "we live, and move, and have our being" (Acts 17:28). He began to improve immediately, and was soon able to eat and move about. Several days after this, the assistant director of the day care informed me that the children had been suffering from salmonella poisoning, and that several had been hospitalized. She suggested that I contact a physician to get the appropriate medication for our son. I told her he was already well, and she was very surprised and pleased.
