I thank God for having had Christian Science all my life. My mother was one of the first practitioners in West Texas. I raised four children, relying only on the law of God for healing. There were healings of broken bones, childhood diseases, and chronic earaches. Many times I have been able to prove that, regardless of the problem, when one turns wholeheartedly to God and listens, the answer comes. I would like to share two of the many healings I myself have had.
Twenty years ago, when my husband passed away, I was left with the responsibility of tending to a very scattered estate. Until then my husband had made most of the business determinations, and I now felt extremely unprepared to make correct decisions. I prayed, pondering the truth that there is only one divine Mind, and that I was governed by that Mind. I gradually gained confidence and learned to listen to God before choosing a way to go.
I was led to sell a large amount of stock shortly before its company declared bankruptcy. I was guided to sell the stock when I did because it was revealed through prayer to me that the company's practices were not completely honest. A large percentage of my resources was thus protected.
