Letters

From the August 1997 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Recently, while reading "Reports of healing" in an issue of the The Christian Science Journal, I caught sight of something I had never fully understood before—the truth that all real life is of God and in God, purely spiritual, purely good. Comfort and inspiration of this kind bring the component of excitement to my reading of the periodicals, and I thank you.

Each article in the March Journal has had a special message for us. In particular, the excerpts from the second symposium on "Spirituality & Healing in Medicine" and the full text of Virginia Harris's talk there, which we have read several times. It is quite clear that this topic has become more interesting to members of the medical profession—if not changing their thought altogether. This warms our hearts. In fact, these two articles have meant so much to us that we are sending them to relatives who are not Christian Scientists. They have never been interested in religion of any sort, but we have proved so many times in our own family that changing our thought to the spiritual reality of a situation does bring healing.
