You and I are blessed by constantly endeavoring to live in accord with the law of God, the Father's law of infinite good. Claiming God's law as supreme, obeying it, and trusting it, we are protected from the fears and suffering that stem from so-called material law, the supposititious opposite of spiritual law. We can prove in our lives that God's law is actually the only law governing His universe, including man.
Christ Jesus said, "Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil." Matt. 5:17. The Master knew and proved that it is in holding to God's law that we destroy false law, which would disrupt the harmony of our lives. God's law, understood, negates the unhappy consequences associated with a supposititious material law and maintains our God-given well-being.
One meaning of the word fulfill is "to carry out." The Master substantiated his promise to fulfill the law by carrying out God's law in every circumstance.
