Journal delivery test

From the August 1998 issue of The Christian Science Journal

The Christian Science Publishing Society continues to investigate cost-effective ways to deliver The Christian Science Journal in good condition.

Since last December, a removable paper cover wrap has been used to protect Journals mailed to subscribers in the United States and Canada. This month's issue was mailed without a cover wrap to test whether recent manufacturing and mailing changes have made the extra cover unnecessary. Some of these changes include: • upgraded postal equipment that improves periodical handling; • new mailing label placement that conforms with postal specifications; • better production process that reduces damage while preparing Journals for shipment.

If your copy of the Journal ever fails to arrive in acceptable condition, please call 1-800-456-4851 for a replacement copy in the United States and Canada.
