And you're doubting you'll get there at all,
And what you've embarked upon
Is good soldiering for Jesus Christ,*
Be assured of this:
There is no way your loving Father
Will stand by and let you fall
Permanent victim to
Discouragement and defeat.
The path that seems so trying today
Will be so but for a time.
And there's this:
It is signing up
For the duration,
For the divine warfare,
That leads to life eternally worth living,
To strength and peace sublime.
