Angels At Work

From the June 2002 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Angels. God's thoughts passing to man; spiritual intuitions, pure and perfect; the inspiration of goodness, purity, and immortality, counteracting all evil, sensuality, and mortality.

As angel thoughts fill consciousness,
they counteract self-centeredness.
Neither wistful nor evil thinking
can appear.

Love's pure intuitions speak,
right where fears have paralyzed,
of good to be realized
and perfection near.

Inspiration leads the way
out from sensualism's sway
and repented-of mistakes leave no trace
as they disappear.

Then our lives, redefined
to fit immortality's design,
bear the tell-tale sign
"Angels working here."
